Hernangomez brothers together again as Spain reveal EuroBasket squad

MADRID (Spain) - Spain have announced a preliminary squad of 22 players as they prepare for FIBA EuroBasket 2022 in September.

The reigning FIBA Basketball World Cup champions will be out to recapture the European crown, which they last won in 2015, as they include a blend of youth and experience.

Brothers Juancho and Willy Hernangomez are together in the squad alongside Usman Garuba with the 20-year-old having made his debut at a major tournament at the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo last summer.

Rudy Fernandez and Sergio Llull have enjoyed huge amounts of success with the national side, while there is also a new face in the form of Lorenzo Brown included in the initial roster.

FIBA U20 European Championship 2022 MVP Juan Nunez is rewarded with a place after helping lead Spain to gold in that tournament and heads up a number of players looking to lead the next generation of talent.
