    Croatia reveal initial EuroBasket squad; Bogdanovic, Saric, Zubac included

    ZAGREB (Croatia) - Croatia have outlined their plans for FIBA EuroBasket 2022 after revealing a preliminary roster of 24 players.

    ZAGREB (Croatia) - Croatia have outlined their plans for FIBA EuroBasket 2022 after revealing a preliminary roster of 24 players.

    Bojan Bogdanovic and Ivica Zubac feature in the squad having recently returned to national team action during the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 European Qualifiers, while Dario Saric could also be set for his return.


    Bogdanovic was amongst the leading scorers from FIBA EuroBasket 2017 with handful of players from that squad included alongside young prospects such as Karlo Matkovic and Roko Prkacin.

    Croatia made it to the Round of 16 at the last edition and will be hoping to bounce back from their recent World Cup disappointment under head coach Damir Mulaomerovic.

    Croatia will take on Greece, Great Britain, Ukraine, Estonia and Group C hosts Italy when they head to Milan for their EuroBasket campaign.

    Their journey to qualifying for the next edition in 2025 commences in August when they face Poland and Switzerland in the FIBA EuroBasket 2025 Pre-Qualifiers.
