    BEIJING (2016 FIBA U17 World Championship) - China coach Wang Jianjun will give nine players a chance to restore the country’s pride, nominating for the 2016 FIBA U17 World Championship a nonet from the team that disappointed at last summer’s FIBA Asia U16 Championship.

    Most of the leaders from the U16 team that crashed to third place in Asia last summer - the first time China ever lost at the competition - are back, topped by Bai Haotian, Wang Yibo, Xu Jie and Zhu Rongzhen.

    The others back to see if China can improve on their three straight seventh placed finishes at the U17 Worlds are Huang Rongqi, Li Xiangbo, Wang Rui, Wu Yujia and Zhao Yanman.

    New to Wang Jianjun’s team are Chen Peidong, Jia Hao and Liu Zeyi.

    China will take on Australia, Canada and Finland in Group C in Zaragoza.
