THE FAVORITES
After a clinical run in Quebec, team USA are looking on-point as they bring the same core over to Fribourg. Olympians Hailey Van Lith and Cierra Burdick were clicking on all cylinders while Kennedy Brown brought in defensive toughness. However, the plaudits went to Sydney Taylor who was a certified bucket, earning herself the MVP award at the Quebec stop.

Momentum is on their side heading into the frenzy in Fribourg.
Another side with a similar run of fortunes is Spain who are coming off a strong win at Poitiers. They’ll be with recent MVP Juana Camilion who was on fire, coming up clutch for the Spaniards numerous times. Gala Mestres will also take to court as they’ll be joined by the iconic duo of Vega Gimeno and Sandra Ygueravide. A side capable of catching fire on all fronts, Spain will be out to build on their form heading into the Paris Olympics.

THE FIELD
Fribourg won’t be short on Olympic talent as we’ll see Germany join in on the action as well. The side were close to picking up their first stop win of the season before losing to Spain in the final at Poitiers.
The core side that has shone all season will be in action, led by former world number one Sonja Greinacher. Svenja Brunckhorst has been clutch all season, Luana Rodefeld rounds off the team with her versatility while Marie Reichert gets you buckets.
They’ll bring the fight to their competition, looking to get a stop win under their belt heading into Paris.
Another team you can never count out is the Netherlands. The top-seeded Dutch side have been impressive all season, but are yet to pick up a stop win.

Noortje Driessen will be in action, the primary scoring option for her side. Janis Ndiba is a Swiss Army knife, clinical on all fronts. Loyce Bettonvil has been the engine for her side as a facilitator while Zoe Slagter has been a huge presence in the paint while also being able to space the floor.
Competition is steep but the Dutch are capable of going all the way and getting the elusive victory.
