Poland’s Przemysław Zamojski, Netherlands' Worthy de Jong and Latvia’s Nauris Miezis selected to be flag-bearers at Paris 2024 Olympics

MIES (Switzerland) - 3x3 stars Przemysław Zamojski (POLD), Worthy de Jong (NED) and Nauris Miezis (LAT) have been elected to be flag-bearers for their Nations at the Paris 2024 Olympics on July 30.

MIES (Switzerland) - 3x3 stars Przemysław Zamojski (Poland), Worthy De Jong (Netherlands), and Nauris Miezis (Latvia) have been elected to be flag-bearers for their Nations at the Paris 2024 Olympics on July 26.

This will be the second appearance at the Olympics for Miezis and Zamojski as they represented their country in the sport’s debut at Tokyo in 2021, while Worthy De Jong will make his first appearance at the Olympic Games.

Zamojski has been Poland’s hero numerous times now. He was an instrumental cog in their Olympic run last time out in Tokyo. He delivered yet again this time around, earning Poland their second Olympic ticket in Debrecen, Hungary.

It was a clutch two-point game-winner from the Pole that clinched the Olympic spot for the side in the third and final Olympic Qualifying Tournament.

His leadership and offensive sharpness translates to the rest of the team as they have taken strides towards growth over the past few seasons. His impact on Poland’s success in Paris cannot be overstated.

Nauris Miezis, on the other hand, has already been at the top. Team Latvia made history in Tokyo as they won the first-ever Olympic Gold in 3x3 Men’s Competition.

Miezis has been a foundational piece for his side since Latvia’s 3x3 programme began, and his offensive firepower has been a key component to their success.

His heroics shined at the Olympic Qualifying Tournament April of this year in Hong Kong, China as his 39-point MVP tournament led Latvia to a shot at retaining their Gold Medal in Paris.
