La Chaine l’Equipe awarded FIBA 3x3 broadcasting rights in France

    FIBA and La Chaine L’Equipe signed a two-year agreement for the broadcasting rights of several 3x3 national team competitions in France.

    MIES (Switzerland) – French 3x3 basketball fans will now be able to watch their women’s and men’s teams play in major tournaments live on La Chaine l’Equipe.

    FIBA and La Chaine L’Equipe signed a two-year agreement for the broadcasting rights of several 3x3 national team competitions in France, including the FIBA 3x3 World Cup 2022 / 2023, the FIBA 3x3 Europe Cup 2022 / 2023 and the FIBA 3x3 U23 World Cup 2022.

    This new agreement includes the rights to broadcast the Crelan FIBA 3x3 World Cup, which will take place in less than a week in Antwerp, Belgium on June 21-26.

    La chaine L'Equipe also obtained the broadcasting rights for the FIBA 3x3 Europe Cup 2022, which will take place in Graz, Austria on September 9-11, as well as the FIBA 3x3 U23 World Cup, which will take place in Bucharest on October 5-9.  

    All the French national team appearances as well as the biggest games will be broadcast on their free to air linear channel (La chaine l’Equipe) and the entire event will be available on their digital platform (l’Equipe Live). 

    Through this partnership, l’Equipe will broadcast and promote 3x3 basketball through event coverage and highlights, which will contribute to the promotion and growth of 3x3 in France ahead of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
