Estelí’s dream is very real
The Nicaragua team won again, the time in their local debut against Fuerza Regia, and is closet o qualifying.
The Basketball Champions League Americas is the champions tournament and in Nicaragua they hold their local two- time championship perfectly. Real Estelí continues to dream and won his second consecutive game, this time against Fuerza Regia 90-65, to take another great step towards qualifying for the next phase of the contest.
The beginning it was not too good for the locals because the Mexicans started more intense with Luis Andriassi Quintana and Marcos Durazo Arvizu as the standards, with ten points each for 22-17 at the end of the first quarter, but the public expected the reaction of Real Estelí, who arrived little by little in the second period. He won that quarter 18-15, lifted from the hand of Cristopher Gaston and Jezreel De Jesús, and anticipated what would come in the second half.
The third quarter is he gave a totally different game. Fuerza Regia never found the paths of the initial stage and only scored 12 points in that period. Those led by David Rosario took advantage, made 32 with De Jesús as the perfect driver (he was the top scorer of the team with 19 points).
The visit could never react and the máximum continued to rise until it reached 25 difference in the final result of the match (the second half was 55-28 for Estelí). The Nicaraguans won well, remain undefeated in Group D and approached the classification. On thursday they go through another step against Capitanes, also at home, at Polideportivo Alexis Arguello.
