Road to FIBA Women's EuroBasket 2029
    How to qualify

The FIBA Women's EuroBasket 2029 Pre-Qualifiers start the long road to qualifying for Europe's premier women's event.

10 national teams will start their campaigns with the aim of making it all the way to the Final Round, after not progressing through the FIBA Women's EuroBasket 2027 Qualifiers.

There will be two rounds in total for the Pre-Qualifiers, with one spot up for grabs in the FIBA Women's EuroBasket 2029 Qualifiers Second Round.

How will it work? Let's take a closer look!

    First Round

10 national teams will be drawn into one group of four teams and two groups of three teams – and will play in a round-robin format. The games will be played across two windows in November 2026 and February 2027.

The winner of each group - three teams in total - will progress to the Second Round.

    Second Round

The Second Round lineup will consist of 3 teams: those that qualified from the First Round.

The teams will play in a tournament format in June 2027, with the winner qualifying to the FIBA Women's EuroBasket 2029 Qualifiers Second Round.
