What you need to know about qualifying for afrobasket 2025 :
Each team will have to play twice against the other teams in its group (a total of six (6) matches per team) over two (2) tournaments.
The competition took place during the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Windows as follows:
Window 1: Monastir (Tunisia), 23-25 February 2024
Window 2: Dakar (Senegal), 22 - 24 November 2024
Window 3: Antananarivo (Madagascar), Rabat (Morocco) & Tripoli (Libya), 21-23 February 2025
At the end of the three (3) tournaments, the three (3) highest-ranked teams in each group will qualify for the FIBA AfroBasket 2025 finals, which will take place from 12 to 24 August 2024 in Angola.
Since Angola, the host of FIBA AfroBasket 2025, is among the top three teams in AfroBasket Qualifiers Group E, the best fourth-placed team across the five groups—based on the Official Basketball Rules—will qualify.

Group B: 1. CAPE VERDE; 2. LYBIA; 3. NIGERIA; 4. UGANDA
Group C: 1. CAMEROON; 2. GABON; 3. RWANDA; 4. SENEGAL
Group D: 1. CENTRAL AFRICAN REPUBLIC; 2. IVORY COAST; 3. EGYPT; 4. MADAGASCAR
Group E: 1 ANGOLA; 2 GUINEA; 3 KENYA; 4. TUNISIA
