    Flamengo dominates Hebraica Macabi in Group C action

    Starting out strong, Flamengo tallied 31 first quarter points, though Macabi added 22 of their own to try and keep up with the talented Flamengo side.

    Guilherme Deodato led Flamengo with 9 points early while Didi Louzada added another 8. Ernesto Ogilvie led Macabi with 9 first quarter points.

    By the half, Flamengo led by 19 points anchored by Martin Cuello adding 10 points alongside Louzada, and Devon Scott adding another 9 points by the half.

    Ogilvie continues to lead Macabi, though he was the only scorer with more than 6 points as the bench's top scorer was Brian Garcia with 5 points.

    Macabi struggled from the floor shooting just 32 percent from the floor, and Flamengo controlled all areas of the game from the paint, to the bench to scoring in transition.

    Having their best quarter of the game yet, Macabi held Flamengo back outscoring them 24-23 in the third quarter, but Flamengo responded in the fourth with their strongest quarter yet.

    Scoring 35 points while holding Macabi to 18, with Kayo Manfio adding 5 three-pointers to Flamengo's total tally to give them a 35-point lead.

    Flamengo controlled the boards, as well as scoring 20 points off Macabi's turnovers while adding another 29 from the fast break.

     

    Manfio led Flamengo with 23 points, Cuello added 21 points and Deodato added another 17 points for Flamengo in the win.

    Ogilvie led Macabi with 17 points while Franklin Hassell added 16 points and Luciano Parodi added 14 points in the loss.
