MIAMI (United States) - Obras Sanitarias concluded their run in the 2021-22 Basketball Champions League Americas Wednesday night with a victory, defeating Biguá 96-77 at the “Templo del Rock” in Buenos Aires (Argentina).
The home team led most of the way but was able to withstand a furious run from the Uruguayans in the third quarter. Biguá had a 10-0 run to take the lead before the Argentinians regrouped to close the period on top. The rest, as they say, was history as Gregorio Martínez’s squad ran away with the game with a 29-12 final stanza.
Joaquín Rodríguez led the way with 21 points, five rebounds and five assists, shooting 4/6 from beyond the arc, but the star of the game was Lautaro Berra.
The young big man went off for 18 points on 9/10 from the field and helped Obras to a 48-26 edge in points in the paint.
