MIAMI (United States) – The FIBA Americas Regional Office announced the launch of an interactive digital platform for events. This innovative project is geared to generate a better experience for fans, properly distribute event information to teams, and simplify processes of management to make sure everyone enjoys each tournament with less stress.

Two different sites can be accessed through a mobile device via a QR code: one for fans and another exclusively for delegations.

The "Digital Fanzone" offers photos, videos, activations, statistics, stadium map, ticket sales, and more information to improve the experience of fans during the tournament.

"Innovation is at the epicenter of everything we do. This new initiative will allow for a simplified and more engaging event's experience to all stakeholders inclusive of players and fans," said the Executive Director of FIBA in the Americas, Carlos Alves.

The password protected site for delegations includes the daily schedule of team activities, meal and training times, transport information, maps, videos, contacts and more essential data for teams to stay organized each day.

This innovative project begins with the BCL Americas Final 8, hosted in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil from April 6 and 9. The FIBA Americas Regional Office hopes to continue to implement this process in all of their upcoming major tournaments.
