Yago, a key piece in the Fla's title
MANAGUA (Nicaragua) - Yago Mateus was another one of Flamengo's stars in the great final against Real Estelí. When the match was tight, the point guard stepped up and kept the "Mengão's" leadership, scoring decisive free throws at the end.

"We're a group that works a lot. We lost the previous BCL Americas and went through a delicate time, but we were able to win this final, thank God, and become undefeated champions. It was a tough match against a tough rival who had the fans' support. I'm very happy to be with this team and share my life with these players," said Yago.
Flamengo won the tournament undefeated, with eight victories in eight matches, and they had to reinvent themselves in spite of serious injuries. "We went through a lot in the BCL Americas and the NBB: we lost Franco (Balbi), Olivinha wasn't doing well, 'Chuzito' González injured his hand in this phase's first match. Thank God, we managed to overcome all of that and we conquered this important title for Flamengo," concluded Yago, who had 16 points, 2 rebounds and 8 assists in the final where the Brazilian team defeated Real Estelí 84-80.
