Final rosters confirmed ahead of Window 4 of the 2023 African Qualifiers

 

ABIDJAN/MONASTIR (Cote d'Ivoire/Tunisia) - The final rosters of all 12 participating teams in Window 4 of the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 African Qualifiers were confirmed on Thursday evening in Abidjan and Monastir before the tip off on Friday, August 26. 

Group E will take place in the Ivorian city of Abidjan, while Group F will take place in the Tunisian coastal city of Monastir. 

The fourth window of the World Cup African Qualifiers will run from August 26-28.

Group E teams are:  Angola, Cape Verde, Cote d'Ivoire, Guinea, Nigeria, and Uganda.

Group F teams are: Cameroon, DR Congo, Egypt,  Senegal, South Sudan and Tunisia.

Window 4 marks the start of the Second Round of the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 African Qualifiers.

The fifth and final Window of the African Qualifiers will take place in February 2023. 

The teams that finish in the first and second places of each group will qualify automatically for next year's World Cup to be staged in Indonesia, Japan, and Philippines. 

The national team that finishes with the best third-place result will secure the fifth and last spot for African teams for the World Cup.
