Three FIBA Asia Cup 2021 Qualifier games postponed

BEIRUT (Lebanon) - FIBA today confirmed that the FIBA Asia Cup 2021 Qualifier games, Philippines vs Thailand and Japan vs China, originally scheduled to be played in Quezon City and Chiba on the 20th and 21st of February will be postponed.

This decision increases the number of postponed games of the first window of the FIBA Asian Cup 2021 Qualifier to three.

Previously, FIBA had decided to postpone and reschedule the Group B encounter between China and Malaysia, scheduled to be played in Foshan, China on February 24.

The decision comes after carefully having evaluated the developments regarding the coronavirus outbreak and placing as a main priority the safety of the participating players and team delegation members.

FIBA  will continue to monitor the situation closely and will not hesitate to implement any further measures or precautions should they be required.
