MIES (Switzerland) - The FIBA Disciplinary Panel on Tuesday announced a number of sanctions to the National Federations of China (CBA), Chinese Taipei (CTBA) and Korea (KBA) for failing to participate in the second window of the FIBA Asia Cup 2021 Qualifiers in November 2020.

FIBA launched at the time a disciplinary proceeding and referred the matter to its Disciplinary Panel, which has now issued the following decisions for each of the three national federations, of CBA, CTBA and KBA:

-  A disciplinary fine of CHF 160,000, half of the sanction (CHF 80,000) being deferred to each national federation fully complying with its participation obligation in the next FIBA official competition.

- A 2 (two) points deduction in the FIBA Asia Cup 2021 Qualifiers, half of the sanction, 1 (one) point deduction, being deferred to each national federation fully complying with its participation obligation in the next FIBA official competition.
