    Hosts and dates confirmed for FIBA Asia Cup 2021 Qualifying Tournaments for third-ranked teams

    BEIRUT (Lebanon) – Saudi Arabia and Guam will host the FIBA Asia Cup 2021 Qualifying Tournaments for third-ranked teams.

    BEIRUT (Lebanon) – The FIBA Regional Office Asia in coordination with FIBA Regional Office Oceania, confirmed today the locations and dates of the FIBA Asia Cup 2021 Qualifying Tournaments for third-ranked teams.

    The Qualifying Tournaments will open the door for three teams to join the thirteen teams who have  already sealed qualification to FIBA Asia Cup 2021.

     

    Jeddah will host Group H consisting of Saudi Arabia, India, and Palestine national teams that will compete in one leg Round-Robin games from August 20 to 22 to qualify two teams for the FIBA Asia Cup 2021. 

    As Indonesia, the Host country of the FIBA Asia Cup 2021 guaranteed its berth for the main event, Group G will consist of Guam and Chinese Taipei. The two teams will play twice on 26 and 28 August in Mangilao, Guam. The outright winner will qualify for the FIBA Asia Cup 2021, will take place in July 2022 in Jakarta.
