Tunisia, a well-known destination of African basketball, will host Groups B and E while Egypt will be home to the first games of Group D.

Teams from Groups A and C will begin their qualifying campaign to the 16-nation AfroBasket in November.

Tunisia hosted the 2015 AfroBasket and co-hosted the 2017 edition of the tournament with Senegal

Teams heading to Tunisia include Group's B Cape Verde, Nigeria, Uganda and the winner of Africa Zone 1 qualifiers, which comprise Algeria, Libya and Morocco. According to FIBA Africa office, Zone 1 qualifiers' schedule will soon be confirmed.

Joining Group E hosts Tunisia are Angola, Guinea and Kenya.

Before the 2025 AfroBasket qualifiers gets underway, a number of teams will battle it out in the Pre-Qualifiers across the continent for the remaining four spots.

Zone 7's Madagascar is expected to host Africa Zone 5 teams with the winner to be added to Group D; Mauritius and Comoros will face Africa Zone 6 teams in an attempt to enter Group A while Africa Zones 3 and 4 will do battle to complete Group C's field.
