    Coulibaly bags MVP at Women's #FIBAU16Africa 2019

    KIGALI (Rwanda) - Mali's Mariam Coulibaly was on Saturday night named the Most Valuable Player of the FIBA U16 Women's African Championship 2019.

    KIGALI (Rwanda) - Mali's Mariam Coulibaly was on Saturday night named the Most Valuable Player of the FIBA U16 Women's African Championship 2019. 

    Coulibaly played a very key role to her side's victory over Egypt in the title game scoring a game -high 30 points, picking seven rebounds and making five assists. 

    The 15-year old had an average of 26.8PPG, 5RPG and 3.2APG and featured in all five games played by her country. 

    Coincidentally, Coulibaly's sister Aissetou Coulibaly bagged the same award two years ago at the same competition in Beira, Mozambique. 

    Elsewhere, point guard Sara Caetano from Angola walked away with the Highest Points Scorer for netting 165 points while centre Maria Najjuma from Uganda won the highest rebounder with 112 rebounds. Egypt's Lojain Elfatairy was the Best Three Point shooter with 40 of them.
