The Great Market Hall area – the Southern border of the city center - is one of Budapest’s most rapidly growing neighborhoods. The whole area – including the building - will be revitalised to make sure it’s safe and sound during World Urban Games Budapest. We also make sure to build the legacy of future urban sport games here as well. Hungary’s biggest university campus will also be built here, making the venue a desired place for social gathering in the future. The huge industrial building, called Nagyvásárcsarnok dates to 1932, when it was the biggest in Hungary and was also the longest hall built without any columns. It will be fixed to reach the highest safety standards to serve as one of the competition venues.
