Competition Format

MEN

  • 4 tickets to the FIBA 3x3 Europe Cup available
  • 12 teams divided into 4 pools of 3 teams based on the April 1, 2018 3x3 Federation Ranking
  • All teams play every other in their respective pools
  • The two first teams from each pool advance to the quarter-finals
  • The winners of each quarter-final advance to the FIBA 3x3 Europe Cup
  • If Romania (as hosts of the final) reach and wins  a quarter-final, the 4 quarter-final losers will continue with an elimination bracket for the final qualification spot.


    WOMEN

  • 3 tickets to the FIBA 3x3 Europe Cup available
  • 9 teams split in 1 pool of 4 teams and another one of 5 based on the April 1, 2018 3x3 Federation Ranking
  • All teams play every other in their respective pools
  • Winner of each pool is directly qualified for the 3x3 Europe Cup 
  • 2nd and 3rd placed teams play against  the 2nd and 3rd teams from the other pool
  • Winners from those games play for a spot at the FIBA 3x3 Europe Cup.
  • If Romania (as hosts of the final) finish in the Top 3, then the team finishing 4th qualifies for the Europe Cup.


In all qualifiers, teams will not continue playing games after they have qualified or have been eliminated from contention.
