VIDNOE (2015 FIBA U19 Women's World Championship) - Spain eventually found a higher gear against Egypt at the 2015 FIBA U19 Women's World Championship but had to come from behind for an 87-64 Group B win.

Turning point: A mighty upset looked to be in store when Egypt held a six-point lead early in the second half. But Spain eventually extinguished any prospect of a surprise when they produced a brilliant 25-8 fourth quarter as they began to run the floor and make more fast-break scores.

Stats Don't Lie: Egypt did a good job of going to the hoops strongly and were rewarded with 32 free-throw attempts, but the third dimension they needed to be successful was missing as they made only one solitary downtown score all night.

Game Heroes: Laura Quevedo and Angela Salvadores propelled Spain with the forward adding 20 points and Salvadores adding 25 points from 60 percent shooting.

The Bottom Line: After their capitulation to USA and then giving up 40 points in the first half of this game, it made for unpalatable reading for fans of Spain. But to their credit, they didn't hit the panic button when things weren't going their way and played well for the last 15 minutes. Now off and running for the tournament, it should give them momentum against China in their last game. Egypt did a good job inside and were outstanding for around 25 minutes, but fell apart at the seams when Spain took things up a level. Nevertheless, there are still big positives for Egypt as the final margin didn’t tell the true story of how they played overall.
