    FIBA Equipment & Venue Centre at China Sport Show

    SHANGHAI (China) – The Equipment & Venue Centre, FIBA’s basketball equipment homologation unit is currently present with a booth at the China Sport Show taking place in Shanghai from May 23 to 26.

    SHANGHAI (China) – The Equipment & Venue Centre, FIBA's basketball equipment homologation unit is currently present with a booth at the China Sport Show taking place in Shanghai from May 23 to 26.

    It is the first time the E&V Center is present at a Chinese trade show. It was also an opportunity to promote the FIBA World Cup and the launch of the Trophy Tour at the “100 days to go” mark.

    The China Sport Show is the biggest sports show in Asia with over 1’500 sports equipment companies present in over 1800’000 sqm exhibition space. Basketball and the 90 E&V Centre partners are well represented amongst the exhibitors. Those who do not have their owns booths were given the possibility to be present at FIBA’s booth.

    The FIBA Equipment & Venue Centre sets standards for basketball equipment and facilities, ensuring that they fulfil the strict requirements of high-level basketball competitions.

    The objective is to attain a high standard of quality, safety and technology, for the athletes, and for the public.

    With the assistance of 90 partners and associates, involved in one or several of the approved products categories, the Equipment & Venue Centre provides norms for level 1 & 2 FIBA competitions.
