EuroCup Women Quarter-Final pairings drawn

MIES (Switzerland) - The EuroCup Women Quarter-Final pairings are set, following a draw at the Patrick Baumann House of Basketball in Mies, Switzerland on Friday.

The Quarter-Final field, finalized on Thursday, features four winners from the EuroCup Women Round of 8 and the four teams joining as the fifth and sixth-placed teams from the EuroLeague Women Regular Season.

The draw was made without any seedings or restrictions, with all eight teams drawn from the same pot.

The pairings are as follows, with the teams listed first playing the first leg at home:

Castors Braine (BEL) v Valencia Basket Club SAD (ESP)
Carolo Basket (FRA) v Basket Landes (FRA)
Dynamo Kursk (RUS) v Perfumerias Avenida (ESP)
Reyer Venezia (ITA) v Spar Citylift Girona (ESP)

The Quarter-Finals will be played in a home-and-away format, with the two legs scheduled for March 12 and 19.

After a decision of the Executive Committee of FIBA Europe, the pairings involving Basket Landes and Reyer Venezia will be rescheduled after a discussion with all clubs affected to enable individual players to attend the FIBA 3x3 Olympic Qualifying Tournament.

Should two EuroCup Women teams be paired against each other, the higher-ranked team, based on the Regular Season results, will have home-court advantage in the return leg.

In the case of two EuroLeague Women teams being drawn to play each other, the teams will be classified according to their results in the Regular Season, with the higher-ranked club playing the return leg at home.

Should a EuroCup Women team be drawn against a EuroLeague Women team, the EuroCup Women side will enjoy home-court advantage in the return leg.

This principle applies for all subsequent rounds of EuroCup Women.
