NBA and FIBA step up Basketball Without Borders partnership with live-streaming of Global Camp

MIES (Basketball Without Borders) - The NBA and FIBA are teaming up for the fourth annual Basketball Without Borders (BWB) Global Camp this weekend in Los Angeles, California, and the longstanding partnership is set to reach a new level with the two parties teaming up to live stream portions of the camp for the first time ever.

From Friday to Sunday, the top 67 high school age players - 42 boys and 25 girls - from 36 countries will compete in tournaments. Following the conclusion of the finals on Sunday, one boy and one girl will be named BWB Global Camp MVPs.

All games will be live-streamed on the NBA's Facebook page and FIBA's Facebook page. Click here to view the rules and schedule of the Basketball Without Borders (BWB) Global Camp games.

A large number of the players at the camp have starred in FIBA's top level youth competitions - both at World and Continental levels - in recent years.

Under the tutelage of leading NBA and national team players and coaches, the campers will be put through their paces in wide-ranging training, including movement efficiency, positional skill development, shooting and skills competitions.

Off the court, they will take part in daily life skills seminars focusing on health, leadership and communication.

Held as part of NBA All-Star 2018, the camp takes place at the Los Angeles Lakers' practice facility. The campers will also attend the Mtn Dew Kickstart Rising Stars, State Farm NBA All-Star Saturday Night and 67th NBA All-Star Game at Staples Center.

Here are the boys and girls that have competed in FIBA youth events in the past and are taking part in the Global Camp.
