Andorra, France and Romania to host FIBA 3x3 Europe Cup Qualifiers 2018
MUNICH (FIBA 3x3 Europe Cup 2018) - Fifty-nine teams from 33 countries (men and women combined) will compete in qualifiers in Escaldes-Engordany (Andorra), Poitiers (France) and Constanta (Romania) for a ticket to the fourth edition of the FIBA 3x3 Europe Cup, which will be staged in Bucharest, Romania on September 14-16, 2018.
The teams were allocated to the various qualifiers based on the world’s FIBA 3x3 Federation Ranking as follows:
Andorra Qualifier (June 23-24)
Men: Slovenia, Ukraine, Netherlands, Andorra, Czech Republic, Hungary, Switzerland & Greece.
Women: Hungary, Italy, Andorra, Spain, Latvia, Estonia, Serbia, Azerbaijan & Greece.
France Qualifier (June 29-30)
Men: Russia, Latvia, Estonia, France, Italy, Turkey, Slovakia, Belarus, Belgium, Montenegro, Denmark & Israel.
Women: Czech Republic, France, Ukraine, Germany, Poland, Belarus, Turkey, Ireland & Sweden.
It's the third consecutive time that Andorra and France host a Europe Cup Qualifier.
Romania Qualifier (June 30 - July 1)
Men: Serbia, Poland, Romania, Croatia, Germany, Spain, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Lithuania, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Sweden & Ireland.
Women: Russia, Netherlands, Romania, Switzerland, Slovakia, Belarus, Austria, Israel & Lithuania.
Four men's teams will qualify from Romania, 4 from France and 3 from Andorra. In the women's category, 3 will book their tickets from Romania, 4 from France and 4 from Andorra.
Latvia (men) and Russia (women) were crowned 3x3 European champions in Amsterdam, Netherlands, last year.
FIBA
