When and where will FIBA Women's Asia Cup 2023 Division B take place?

The latest edition of the Women's Asia Cup 2023 Division B will take place in Bangkok, Thailand at the Nimibutr Stadium from August 13 to 19.

Nimibutr Stadium, which is a part of the National Stadium complex, will host all the games. This marks a return of the Women's Asia Cup to the storied venue after hosting the competition in 1997.

Thailand have also hosted two other Women's Asia Cups in 2001 (Hua Mark Stadium) and 2013 (Thai-Japanese Youth Center).

All games are free entrance, which should come as a delight to all basketball fans in Thailand.

What is the format?

There are two groups of four teams each; playing across three days (August 13-15) in a single round-robin format. The first-placed team from each Group will move directly to the Semi-Finals; while the second and third-placed teams will play in the Qualification For The Semi-Finals (August 17).

The Semi-Finals will be played on Friday August 18, with the Final and Third Place Game for bronze on Saturday August 19.

What is at stake?

For the 8 teams playing in Bangkok, they will all be aiming to gain promotion to Division A for FIBA Women's Asia Cup 2025.

After gaining promotion to the 2023 edition of the competition, Lebanon were able to keep their spot in Division A by beating Chinese Taipei.
