Panama, Puerto Rico through to the Global Challenge
MIES (Switzerland) - The FIBA U17 Skills Challenge 2020 Americas Qualifiers, taking place from August 13-15, features four national teams competing for two tickets to the Global Challenge to be held later in August.
Cuba were registered to take part in the Americas Qualifiers, but had to pull out for local COVID-19 lockdown.

Day 3 - Saturday, August 15
Puerto Rico and Panama got their tickets to the Global Challenge to be held between 18-23, August. In the final day of competition in the American Qualifiers, they won against Guatemala and Antigua & Barbuda, respectively.
In the Final matchup on Saturday, Puerto Rico beat Guatemala to finished as the only unbeaten team in the American Qualifiers after registering a 4-0 mark. The other Final was 131-147 for Panama against Antigua & Barbuda.

Day 2 - Friday, August 14
The Group Phase in the Americas Qualifiers finished without defeats for Puerto Rico (1st), who will take on Guatemala (4th) in one Final. On the other side, Panama (2nd) will play against Antigua & Barbuda (3rd) in the other decider, on Saturday. The Winners of the Finals qualify to the FIBA U17 Global Skills Challenge.

Day 1 - Thursday, August 13
Puerto Rico and Panama went undefeated on the opening day of action in the Americas Qualifiers, while Antigua & Barbuda registered a record of 1-1. The possibilities are open for the three teams to secure the top seeds in the second day of competition. Meanwhile, Guatemala lost both of head-to-head contests and will enter the Finals as one of the lower seeds.
