Belarus, Poland perfect amongst 10 European qualifiers to Global Challenge
MIES (Switzerland) - Belarus and Poland were unbeaten group winners as they led 10 European teams through to the FIBA U15 Women's Skills Challenge 2021.
They were joined by Albania, Andorra, Estonia, Israel, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Netherlands and Spain as the Regional Qualifiers concluded.
Poland set the bar high in Group A with impressive scores of 119 and 120 on their way to five wins from five. They edged out Spain 127-131 in a clash to decide top spot on the final day.
Netherlands and Estonia went through with three and two wins, respectively, while Andorra securing what proved to be a decisive victory over Gibraltar - who were the only side to miss out on the Global Challenge.
In Group B, all five teams advanced with Belarus leading the way with a perfect 4-0 record that included a narrow 146-147 success over Israel, who would finish second with two wins. Lithuania and Luxembourg also picked up two wins with Albania still making it through.
