Finals are here and medals are on the line for Australia, Guam, New Zealand and Samoa

GUAM (FIBA U17 Women's Oceania Championship 2017) - Finals time! The matchups are final, gold, silver, bronze medals and bragging rights are on the line. There's no better place to be this Saturday than watching these teams go head-to-head.

Guam v Samoa

Guam's #9 Mia San Nicolas

Guam earned a spot in the top four with their thrilling 97-91 victory over New Caledonia in their final pool game. Samoa is shaping up to be favorites in this matchup with their size advantage over Guam. But with their speed, scoring ability and the home crowd behind them, you can never count out the home nation.

Double-double machine Mia San Nicolas will be a big factor in today's bronze medal effort for Guam averaging 14.3 points, 11.5 rebounds per game.

Samoa's Frances Ropati is no stranger to FIBA Oceania Bronze medal matches, having taken out the FIBA U18 Women's Oceania Championship 2016 bronze medal in Fiji. She has once again been the leader for Samoa averaging 15 points and 11.5 rebounds per game

Australia v New Zealand

New Zealand's #55 Charliisse Leger-Walker

Australia and New Zealand have separated themselves from the rest of the competition with dominating performances throughout the tournament. New Zealand will look to halt Australia's recent success in youth Women's basketball with a victory here in Guam. Australia has looked scary good in their games to this point, they are on a mission for gold and only one more team stands in their way.

New Zealand has been able to call upon anyone from 1-12 on any given night to lead them to victory. With eight (8) players averaging double figures for the tournament, New Zeland is going to be tough to stop.

Australia too has been sharing the workload with all but two (2) players averaging double figures. But the real standout of the event has to be Miela Goodchild, averaging 24.5 points and 4.3 steals to this point.
