Productive photographers' workshop in Bahrain draws interested and enthusiastic participants
Manama (Bahrain) – FIBA's Asia regional office and the Bahrain Basketball Association (BBA) continue its commitment to improving the level of basketball photography by holding a workshop in Manama from April 25 to April 27.
The workshop was successfully held and further showcased the effort and commitment in an attempt to support regional photographers and upgrade the level of media coverage in the country.
Aiming to increase the pool of FIBA standard photographers in Asia, the workshop succeeded in drawing interested participants not only from Bahrain but also Oman, United Arab Emirates, and Palestine.
"The workshop presented the latest regarding basketball photography as well as FIBA's media rules and regulations during the games. For this, I want to thank the BBA and the regional office in Asia," said Bahraini photographer, Shahed Ishak.
The photographers eagerly participated in the event, taking the opportunity to gain knowledge, share experiences, and network with others in the same field of profession. After a presentation briefing, the photographers got the opportunity to shoot games at the FIBA Asia Champions Cup 2019 GBA Qualifiers that were also currently held in Manama.
"I benefited very much from this workshop. I will try implementing everything I learned here during this 3-day workshop," Omani participant Ammar Mousafer said.
After shooting games in the field on the first days of the workshop, the photographs of the participants were then assessed in the latter days. The participants of the workshop continuously displayed enthusiasm throughout the event, engaging the hosts with questions in search to better themselves and be prepared for future competitions.
