Players to watch at FIBA 3x3 Women's Series Hangzhou Final 2024

HANGZHOU (China) - This unbelievable FIBA 3x3 Women's Series 2024 comes down to the Hangzhou Final on September 7-8 and you just know the world's best players are ready to close out with an unforgettable finish.

Here are the players you have to watch.

Katherine/Michelle Plouffe (Canada)

The Plouffe sisters have a couple of big reasons to be extra motivated. Canada are the two-time defending champs after beating France in last year's epic decider.

Take a guess who stood up when it mattered most. Of course, it was the legendary siblings, with Katherine top scoring with 10 points while Michelle walked off with the MVP.

They've maintained their ridiculously high level, averaging almost 13 ppg combined, to ensure Canada are again one of the leading teams on the Women's Series.

But the hurt of missing out on an Olympic medal in Paris, where Canada finished fourth, will still be hurting the Plouffe sisters who want to ensure they finish 2024 in style with a three-peat of the showpiece event.

 Katerina Galickova (Czechia)

The 24-year-old Czech has been a big talent for some time having dominated at youth level before in recent seasons making her climb to the senior level.

The 6ft (1.83m) talented Czech will enter red hot after a scoring explosion at the Debrecen Stop, where she scored an insane 55 points and had a player value of 50.7.

She scored from everywhere - inside and out - with moves that make even Caitlin Clark blush. Expect much the same in Hangzhou, where this new sensation aims to lead Czechia on a giant-killing run.

Sandra Ygueravide (Spain)

It was hard to imagine legendary Sandra Ygueravide could add to her legacy, but she's done exactly that during arguably the best stretch in her career.

She is schooling younger opponents having helped Spain win Olympic silver before their sweet triumph at the Europe Cup, where this ageless wonder walked off with the MVP.

But, you guessed it, she's not satisfied yet as Ygueravide eyes a first-ever Women's Series Final title for Spain.

Marie-Eve Paget (France)

There are many compliments you can give this fabulous Frenchwomen. Among them is that she is a certified baller after lifting herself up bravely after France's bitterly disappointing Olympic campaign.

This 3x3 wizard played with force and tapped into her deep bag to be one of the very best players in the Europe Cup as France bounced back with a silver medal.

Paget has been lights out all season, connecting on 33% from deep, and she'll be determined to put on a show one final time this season.

Chiara Consolini (Italy)

Former World Cup champs Italy made it through to Hangzhou largely thanks to their No.1 player, who was a reliable bucket getter throughout.

The towering 6 footer (1.83m) was a key part in Italy's success at the Gabala Stop, where her inside-outside game was on full display.

The Italian warrior loves taking position inside the paint, where she can drive opponents mad through her dizzying array of moves. If she heats up in Hangzhou then underdog Italy might just make a deep run.

Janis Ndiba (Netherlands)

The Netherlands again reached the podium at the Europe Cup after Janis Ndiba was all over the half-court to finish on the Team of the Tournament.

The tall 27-year-old was unstoppable as she continued her dominant season.

Nbida helped powerhouse Netherlands to the top of the standings after the Women's Series regular season, but she's eying one last masterpiece in Hangzhou.

Yuting Deng (China U24)

There is an emerging superstar who might just have a breakout in Hangzhou.

19-year-old bucket getter Yuting Deng is set to be a fan favorite after showcasing her talents to lift China U24 to the title in Debrecen.

She has filthy moves set to torture defenders as China's latest sensation makes her rise.
