French and Lithuanian Olympic heroes to clash on Day One of FIBA 3x3 World Tour Lausanne

LAUSANNE (Switzerland) - The unbelievable Paris Olympics might be over, but there is plenty of hot 3x3 action ready to be fired up with the World Tour 2024 resuming at the annual Lausanne Masters on August 16-17.

There will be Olympic heroes pitted against one another on the opening day when No.3 seed Raudondvaris Hoptrans (LTU) meet Paris (FRA) in a Pool C blockbuster.

Superstar Franck Seguela and Jules Rambaut were part of France's stirring silver medal run on home soil, while walking bucket Aurelijus Pukelis, Evaldas Dziaugys and Sarunas Vingelis are coming off Lithuania's emotional bronze medal campaign.

Barcelona Panthers (ESP), an intriguing new team on the World Tour, are also in Pool C.

Top seed Vienna (AUT) are hoping their momentum from before the mid-season break continues, having won the Almaty Masters. They headline Pool A and face Dusseldorf LFDY (GER) and Fribourg (SUI), dangerous teams making their World Tour season debuts.

After consecutive semi-finals in Edmonton and Almaty, Partizan Meta Force (SRB) are determined to go even further but face significant early tests in Pool B against San Juan Church's (PUR) and Tel-Aviv (ISR).

The Puerto Ricans have not been able to get past the quarters in four Masters they've played this season, while Tel-Aviv will be on the World Tour stage for the first time in 2024.

Last but certainly not least, hometown heroes Lausanne (SUI) headline Pool D and loom as a major title threat. The Swiss Maestros have gone up a level in 2024 and twice gone within an inch of Masters glory.

Lausanne have always fed off their energetic fans, who will be willing them over the line on Day One against in-form Liman (SRB) coming off three titles from their last four events on the pro circuit.
