Niners Chemnitz halt Porto's winning run, Patrioti Levice still in the mix
MUNICH (Germany) - Gameday 5 of the FIBA Europe Cup Second Round began with road victories for Patrioti Levice and Niners Chemnitz.
In the late game on Tuesday, Niners Chemnitz benefited from a quality Kevin Yebo performance, who scored 16 points to help defeat FC Porto 86-74. The hosts got 17 points and 9 rebounds from Brian Conklin, but couldn't overcome offensive struggles in amongst injuries as they were forced into 18 turnovers - dropping to 4-1 in the process.
The German side improved to 2-3 in Group I, but it has already been confirmed that Porto and Cholet Basket will be advancing to the Quarter-Finals.

Meanwhile, Patrioti Levice's offense came to life in the fourth quarter with a 20-11 run to seal their eventual 74-64 win against Hapoel B-Cure Laser Haifa. The visitors keep their hopes alive in Group J with the result also confirming a spot in the last eight for Karhu Basket.
It wasn't until the final minutes of the game that the home side faded with Miha Lapornik his usual efficient self for Levice with 21 points, while Ben Kovac added 14 points.
The losing side saw a strong performance from Kadeem Allen, who led his team in scoring with 15 points, as well as a 13-point, 11-rebound double-double from William Rayman.
The action continues on Wednesday with six more games still to play this week.
