How to Qualify

The 24 teams qualified thanks to being host (Romania) or through the 2016 FIBA 3x3 European Championships Qualifers.

Fifty-two teams (men and women combined) from 27 countries were divided - based on the FIBA 3x3 Federation ranking - in three qualifiers in Escaldes-Engordany (Andorra), Poitiers (France) and Amsterdam (Netherlands).
