Zahui finally takes Top Performer honors

MUNICH (EuroLeague Women) - After weeks of knocking on the door, ZVVZ USK Praha center Amanda Zahui has finally claimed Top Performer honors.

The Swedish center has been one of the most consistent players through the first five weeks of action and was finally rewarded this week, producing an efficiency of 39 on the back of a 27-point, 11-rebound double-double as ZVVZ USK Praha took down ESBVA-LM 88-51.

Joining her up front is Jantel Lavender, who has been turning in highlight-reel performances for a hot Yakin Dogu Universitesi side. This week, the power forward produced a 20-point, 10-rebound double-double as her Istanbul club clocked up another win, 87-59 over Wisla Can-Pack.

Filling the wing position is Olympian Angel McCoughtry. Taking on a tougher-than-expected assignment in Bourges, McCoughtry led the defending champions Dynamo Kursk to a 76-65 win by matching the 20-point, 10-rebound double-double of Lavender.

There is a spot in the backcourt for Slovenia's Nika Baric, who continued putting in the tough grind for UMMC Ekaterinburg, who are going about resurrecting their season. That grind amounted to 17 points and 4 assists as the perennial powerhouse held off Nadezhda in the All-Russian clash, 64-54.

Rounding out this week's team is Yvonne Turner, from this year's revival team Sopron. The shooting guard delivered a nice stat line of 18 points and 7 assists as her Hungarian outfit comfortably saw off the visiting Castors Braine, 83-59
