Bourges Basket celebrate historic 14th French title
BOURGES (EuroLeague Women) - The celebrations are in full swing in Bourges after Tango Bourges Basket claimed a record 14th LFB title, becoming the most decorated women's club in France.
Bourges traveled to Tarbes on Saturday for Game 4 of the Finals and came away with an 87-80 victory to win the championship series 3-1 and complete the double, having won the French Cup earlier this year.
Having missed the opportunity to sweep the series in Game 3, the Olivier Lafargue-coached side made sure to convert the second match ball, setting the tone early with a 25-14 first quarter and holding onto their lead until the final buzzer.

Marine Johannes led the scoring for Bourges with 16 points, while Sarah Michel and Valeriane Ayayi chipped in with 15 and 13 points, respectively.
Tarbes had four players in double figures, Ana Suarez Utrero top-scoring with 17 points, but their fourth-quarter comeback proved too little, too late.
Bourges were crowned champions for the first time since 2015, and with their 14th title overall have overtaken Clermont, holders of 13 championships, to leave their mark on French basketball history.
