He was a journalist and during many years worked as Deputy Editor of the Polish newspaper “Expressu Wieczornego” (Evening Express)
Authored several basketball books, including “A Concise Dictionary of American Basketball”, published by FIBA, and “English for Basketball Players, Coaches, Referees, Followers and Fans”, edited by the Polish Basketball Federation
President of the Polish Basketball Federation: 1957-1969 and 1980-1984
During his tenure as President of the Polish Basketball Federation, the Polish Men’s National Team was Silver medalist in the 1963 European Championship for Men in Wroclaw and 2 times Bronze medalist: in the 1965 European Championship for Men in Moscow and the 1967 European Championship for Men in Helsinki. In addition, participation in 3 Olympic Games (Rome 1960, Tokyo 1964 and Mexico 1968) and 1 World Championship (Montevideo 1967)
During his tenure as President of the Polish Basketball Federation, the Polish Women’s National Team was 2 times Silver medalist in European Championships for Women (in Yugoslavia 1980 and Italy 1981) and Bronze medalist in the 1968 European Championships for Women in Italy
