TEHRAN (ISNA)-Lebanon's Sagesse after leaving the fourth game of the West Asian Basketball League Competitions against Iran's Saba Battery unfinished, left Tehran for Beirut today at 10 am.
According to ISNA, at the 15th minute of the game the referee caught a technical foul from one of Sagesse's players and in reaction this team's head coach ordered his team to leave the game.
Iran's Basketball Federation in answer, while reproving this act, threatened that if West Asian Basketball officials do not take any measures regarding such doings, it will once and for all separate Iran's team from this league.
Sagesse has blamed this disgraceful act on the behavior of Iranian spectators.
Iranian Basketball Federation chief while thanking all participant spectators said this was a false announcement.
"The Iranian spectators only cheered their team," he noted.
