    Greece
    2011 World Championships

    Team Characteristics
Good group of talented, experienced players. Many scoring options at many different positions. Play as a unit and are patient on the offensive end. Will take good shots and are excellent passers. Can play late into the shot clock due to passing effienciency shot making ability. Solid defense leads to transition opportunitites, whether man of zone.

    Offensive Tendencies
Very active offensive team. Use lots of cutting, hand offs, on ball screens, slip screens, curl cuts and penetration. All five players are involved in the motion and action in the half court, each contributing points. Like to make multiple passes around the perimeter to shift the defense and create openings for penetration or post feeds. Constant motion and screening are a good combination.

    Transition
Due to good outside shooting their transition game produces lots of points. Ball is pushed down middle of the floor with 2 or 3 shooters spotting up for open shot. Typically they will throw 2 or 3 passes as the defense gets set to expose their weaknesses. Make a lot of open jump shots in transition or secondary break.

    Set Plays
    1.   Down screen, down screen, on ball screen and roll to post for post feed.
    2.    Back screen, curl cut off down screen, hand off, and wing isolation.
    3.    Down screen, hand off, flare for open jump shot.
    4.    High post entry, hand off to perimeter player for penetration down lane for shot.
    5.   High post entry, hand off, post feed on seal for shot.

    Out of Bounds
Start in stack or box with two screening options for shooters. Will go into on ball screening action next and flow into offense or isolate post player inside.

    Zone Offense
Basic 4 out/1 in zone attack with one stationary inside players. Lots of cutting through the zone and from behind the zone to the ball. Will run baseline as well as cut through the zone from the wing and point.

    Defense Tendencies
Will play good position defense without being vulnerable to the drive or post. Will not gamble but will be in the right place on the help side. Try to limit penetration to minimize help needed. Will pick up full court if needed.
