    A former Nigerian international, Masai Ujiri has praised the Coach Ayo Bakare tutored side at the 26th edition of FIBA Africa Championship for Men in Antananarivo, Madagascar for winning all its group-A games.
     
    Ujiri who once played under Coach Bakare said though the team is doing well but a bit of luck will see it lifting the Afrobasket which has eluded Nigeria since 1962.
     
    The Denver Nuggets basketball club Vice-President Operation is however, optimistic that the present team is capable of going far as they play more as a unit compare to what obtain with past teams.
     
    Ujiri also rated the standard of the 26th edition of the championship high as concluded that Africa can take its pride of place in world basketball if FIBA Africa and respective federations can be more proactive.
     
    Ujiri urge former players to always give back to their countries by assisting upcoming players through the organisation of camps for young players.
     
    He says the 2011 Top-50 camp billed for next month in Nigeria will go ahead as schedule as arrangement have been concluded on the camp.
