
Elite 8 pairings set following conclusion of Group Phase
COTONOU (Benin) - The quater finalists of the FIBA Africa Basketball League 2019 have been determined following the conclusion of Group B on Sunday in Cotonou, Benin.
By winning Group B with a perfect 3-0 mark, Tunisian champions Etoile Sportive de Rades advanced to the ELITE 8 Knock-out stage where they will face fellow Tunisians JS Kairouan, who finished as Group A runners-up.
Nigeria solo representative Civil Defenders needed to step up to overcome resilient Elan Sportif of Benin on Sunday, and as a result stay in contention for a place in the next May's Final-Four.

In the last eight, the Nigerians will face Group A winners Association Sportive de Sale of Morocco who dispatched all their opponents to stay perfect with a 3-0 mark.
Meanwhile, Primeiro D'Agosto and Petro Atletico de Luanda will do battle in an all-Angolan Quarter-Finals, while Egypt champions Al Ahly will go up against fellow Egyptian Smouha Sporting Club.
