The free-scoring and burgeoning talent of the player is set to be one of the highlights of the tournament - or at least if Acevedo is able to produce the same outstanding form as she did at U17 level in Minsk last year

Her skills not only lit up the competition in Belarus after landing the top play of the tournament , but also caught the eye enough for her to be invited to the Basketball Without Borders Global camp recently.
Acevedo will certainly have to step up, with Argentina set to be without their prize asset, Florencia Chagas. She was not included in the squad, and it remains to be seen if she will be added at a later date.
Head coach Mariano Junco will also rely on the likes of Sol Castro who almost landed a tournament double-double last year at the FIBA U18 Americas Women's Championship after averaging 12.3 points and 9.2 rebounds per game.
Argentina will face Belgium, China and Mali in Group B.
