With rosters confirmed, FIBA U19 Women's Basketball World Cup 2017 ready to tip off

UDINE/CIVIDALE DEL FRIULI, Italy (FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup 2017) - The action is set to tip off at the FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup 2017 after the finalized 12-player rosters of the 16 participating teams were verified and confirmed.

The games get underway on Saturday at Udine's Palasport Primo Carnera and the Palasport Longobardo in Cividale del Friuli.

Group A: China, Mali, USA, Italy
Group B: Puerto Rico, Russia, Egypt, Spain
Group C: Canada, Latvia, France, Korea
Group D: Hungary, Australia, Japan, Mexico

In the Group Phase (July 22-25), each team will face the other three in its group (a total of 3 games for each team).

All teams will advance to the Round of 16, where they will cross between Groups A and B and C and D (A1 v B4, A2 v B3, etc.). This opens the Final Phase (July 26-30) of the competition which is played in a knock-out format. The winners of Round of 16 games will advance to the Quarter-Finals, while the losers move on to the Classification Games for Places 9-16.

The Final and the 3rd-Place Game will be played on Sunday July 30.
