USA quartet aiming to join group of U17/U19 double world champs

HERAKLION (Greece) - Four players from the United States' head into the FIBA U19 Basketball World Cup 2019 knockout stage aiming to join a septet of past USA players who are double U17/U19 world champions.

Scott Barnes, Jalen Green, Evan Mobley and Jalen Suggs all won the title at the FIBA U17 Basketball World Cup 2018 and will now have a chance to claim the trophy at the FIBA U19 World Cup in Greece, staring in the Round of 16 against Latvia.

That quartet would join the following players who have already hoisted both the U17 and U19 World Cup trophies for United States:

Jahlil Okafor (U17 in 2012, U19 in 2013)

Justise Winslow (U17 in 2012, U19 in 2013)

Terrance Ferguson (U17 in 2014, U19 in 2015)

Harry Giles (U17 in 2014, U19 in 2015)

Josh Jackson (U17 in 2014, U19 in 2015)

Caleb Swanigan (U17 in 2014, U19 in 2015)

Jayson Tatum (U17 in 2014, U19 in 2015)
