Canada name U17 team with good size, just five players back from U16 team

TORONTO (FIBA U17 Basketball World Cup 2018) - Canada have named a 12-man roster for the FIBA U17 Basketball World Cup 2018 that includes good size with seven players at least 6ft 7in (2.00m) tall but with just five players back from last summer's FIBA U16 Americas Championship 2017.

Head coach Kirby Schepp named a very different team from the one that finished second at the U16 Americas tournament last summer, where Craig Beaucamp was head coach. Addison Patterson and Charles Bediako meanwhile played for Canada at the just-completed FIBA U18 Americas Championship 2018 and finished in second place and qualified for the FIBA U19 Basketball World Cup 2019.
