U17 Round of 16 games: Tuesday 28 June

ZARAGOZA (2016 FIBA U17 World Championship) - Here are Tuesday's Round of 16 games at the 2016 FIBA U17 World Championship to look forward to in Zaragoza.

Egypt v Lithuania

If Egypt want to achieve their best-ever showing at the U17 Worlds they must win in the Round of 16 - meaning a surprise over Lithuania. The 2015 U16 European runners-up play big and have a lot of discipline and will be a major test for Egypt.

Finland v France

Finland lost to France twice at the U16 Euros last summer and would love the Round of 16 to be a case of third time is the charm. The French however are playing excellent basketball, as they demonstrated by blowing out Bosnia and Herzegovina and Dominican Republic in their last two games.

Canada v Dominican Republic

Now that Canada have everything set up to avoid the USA until the Final, they don't want to slip up anywhere along the way. And they will be heavy favourites going up against debutants Dominican Republic, who have yet to win a game in Zaragoza.

Turkey v Mali

Turkey are in the position they had hoped to be in coming into the tournament, having taken second place in their group. They have hardly been convincing but everything is still up for grabs for the first timers. Mali are also on their maiden journey to the U17 Worlds and would love to become the first African country to reach the top eight of the competition.

Australia v Bosnia and Herzegovina

Australia's group phase did not go as hoped with them finishing third. However, the 2012 and 2014 runners-up are still in line to avoid a match-up with the USA until the Final. Bosnia and Herzegovina will be out to show their supporters that they are more the team that crushed Korea rather than the one beaten handily by France.

Chinese Taipei v Spain

Chinese Taipei face the tall task of trying to knock off hosts Spain in the Round of 16 - which would be the debutants' first win in Zaragoza. Spain faced a real struggle in their last Group Phase game against Argentina, as leader Miguel Gonzalez suffered an injury. But the Spaniards should be able to get past Chinese Taipei even if Gonzalez cannot go.

United States v Argentina

The USA are rolling through the tournament, winning by an average of 46.3 points per game. They are again heavy favourites as they take on fellow FIBA Americas side Argentina, who have yet to win a game but did give Spain a tough fight for about 30 minutes.

China v Korea

China have reached the Quarter-Finals of all three U17 Worlds thus far and standing in the way of them this time are fellow Asians Korea. The Koreans actually knocked off China in the Semi-Finals of the 2015 FIBA Asia U16 Championship. Korea also have already collected more victories in Zaragoza (2) than they did combined in their previous two U17 Worlds appearances (1).
