France handed Hartley option as they look to realize Women's EuroBasket 2019 dream

PARIS (FIBA Women's EuroBasket 2019 Qualifiers) - France have a new option available to them for the FIBA Women's EuroBasket 2019 Qualifiers after Bria Hartley was included in a 15-player roster.

The potential presence of  Hartley is likely to offer head coach Valerie Garnier a scoring boost and dynamic presence, with the playcaller familiar to the player at Fenerbahce, where they are club colleagues.

Hartley previously played with Mersin and is expected to play a significant role for Fenerbahce in both EuroLeague Women and also in their bid to defend their Turkish championship title. She is also a prominent player for the New York Liberty in the WNBA.

The squad is made up mainly of those who helped their country achieve a modest 5th-place finish at the FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup in Tenerife and includes star names such as Marine Johannes, Olivia Epoupa, Endy Miyem and Sandrine Gruda.

France have reached the last three FIBA Women's  EuroBasket Women Finals and are dreaming of a return to the top step of the podium for the first time since 2009.

They head into the last window with a 3-1 record and facing potentially tricky games on the road in Romania and at home to Slovenia who beat them during the first encounter in Celje.
