Array of stars handed a WNBA boost ahead of Women's EuroBasket 2019 Qualifiers
MUNICH (FIBA Women's EuroBasket 2019 Qualifiers) - A number of the biggest names in the FIBA Women's EuroBasket 2019 Qualifiers have been given the opportunity to realize their WNBA dreams this summer.
With clubs still in the process of revealing who they have signed for the 2018 season, a number of both new and familiar WNBA faces have already received the thumbs-up.
Endy Miyem - France

For many years, observers of the women's game have wondered why it has taken so long for the French veteran to be picked up. EuroLeague Women fans and of course supporters of France have admired the forward's hard-nosed game for many years and now Miyem has deservedly won the chance to step out with reigning champions, the Minnesota Lynx!
Leticia Romero - Spain
📌 BREAKING: Leticia Romero has signed her rookie contract while free agents Kelsey Griffin and Betnijah Laney agreed to training camp contracts.

Seen as the medium to long-term future of Spain's backcourt [even if she has already been crowned a FIBA EuroBasket Women 2017 winner], Romero was a natural pick for the WNBA. She was on the radar as a youth team player with Spain and stood out even more after moving Stateside and playing NCAA ball with Florida State University. Now with a rookie EuroLeague Women campaign under her belt too, she could be ready to add WNBA minutes with the Connecticut Sun.
Cecilia Zandalasini - Italy
NEWS: Minnesota Lynx re-sign Cecilia Zandalasini; sign Lynetta Kizer and Endy Miyem

It was an astonishing 2017 for Zandalasini as she not only made her debut in the WNBA, but was parachuted into the business end of the season to help the Minnesota Lynx win the WNBA title. So, with a Championship ring already on her finger and as one of the biggest names now globally [not just in Italy and Europe], it was a no-brainer that Lynx would get her back on board for 2018. The one silver lining from the black cloud of missing out on the FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup 2018 with Italy will be a maiden Regular Season on the WNBA hardwood. She will also potentially play with Lynx new recruit and Schio teammate, Endy Miyem.
Aleksandra Crvendakic - Serbia

Of course Crvendakic won't need to play in the Qualifiers in this window as Serbia are already guaranteed a place at the Final Round as 2019 co-hosts. But, that won't dilute the impact on Serbian women's basketball of her joining her teammate Ana Dabovic in the WNBA. A driving force behind Sopron Basket making the EuroLeague Women Quarter-Finals, Crvendakic has had another stellar season and is still only 21-years-old! Seattle fans are going to love her!
Ana Dabovic - Serbia
Breaking news! We are proud to announce that @ksam44 and @ana_dabovic will be returning to the Sparks for the 2018 season! 🙌🏽 Welcome back! Click here for the official announcement: https://t.co/jmkOmya9bC #OneTeamOneGoal #GoSparks pic.twitter.com/Q5sVnzlA1h
— Los Angeles Sparks (@LA_Sparks) February 1, 2018
She has already won a WNBA title with the Los Angeles Sparks and will be heading back for this season. Of course Dabovic has put herself even more in the spotlight during recent months after making a belated return to EuroLeague Women after a absence of almost six years. Her performances with Fenerbahce have turned heads and she can be an 'X-Factor' in any game either side of the Pond.
Finally, don't expect this train to slow down, with many other European stars to be confirmed by WNBA clubs in coming days and weeks. We also have the alluring prospect of the WNBA draft when the likes of Russian ace Maria Vadeeva could feature very highly.
