Dark horses Sweden lay out depth and potential with a sweet mix
STOCKHOLM (Sweden) – Those touting Sweden as dark horses at the FIBA Women's EuroBasket 2019 will be feeling vindicated by the announcement of an exciting and dynamic looking preliminary squad for this summer's flagship event.
As usual, Sweden can rely on a big stash of quality in their EuroLeague and EuroCup Women headliners such as Elin and Frida Eldebrink, who will bring the noise in the backcourt, while Sopron Basket center Amanda Zahui will drop anchor in the paint.

Throw in the free-scoring teenage ace Klara Lundquist, veteran frontcourt performers Louice Halvarsson and Anna Barthold, plus a range of dynamic players like Nathalie Fontaine and Kalis Loyd and the Swedish fans have good reason to get excited at their team's prospects.
Sweden must navigate their way past Czech Republic, France and Montenegro during the initial phase of the competition.
